Yamato river I am sure you have heard of Jinbei Naka before. A long time ago ,during the Edo Period in the year 1704,the Yamato River diversion was completed, this change being a project of Jinbei Naka.
The Yamato River is a very complex river,it’s source originates from the Tsuge Plain in Nara Prefecture,it then meets with other rivers at the Nara Basin. The gap between the Ikoma Mountain Range and the Kongo Mountain Range is where the Kashiwara City Kamenose flow out via this gap,it flows out to the Osaka Plain. In ancient times there was no land around the Osaka Plain.Gradually, the Yamato River carried earth and sand to this plain, which in turn changed shape and caused a lot of flooding. And,the construction of the Yamato River Replacement Plan started at Kashiwara City.

This replacement river plan for the Yamato river was completed in about 8 months. When people are told of this fact they can’t believe it was completed in such a short period time.
