Have you ever heard of or seen “Kawachi Ondo ?“ The dancing and singing is performed to a fast tempo and the　rhythm is similar to the mambo,samba or reggae,therefore the“Kawachi Ondo Dance” Competition has gained popularity even with the younger generation. These days, Kashiwara city has also tied in local yukata industries to form the “All Nippon Kawachi Ondo Dance Competition” opens. The number of participants from workplaces, town block associations and children’s association that are forming teams,competing in the competition all wearing the same yukata,is increasing year after year.

About 3,000 fireworks are let off from the banks of the Yamato River to end the festival.
These beautiful fireworks are viewed by about 100,000 people.
